What to expect on your eye exam:

At Novel Eye Care, we provide comprehensive eye exams using advanced technology for your comfort and convenience. Instead of routine dilation, we typically perform retinal photo screenings to evaluate the health of your eyes—no drops required in most cases.

If you are using vision insurance, your visit may include a copay of up to . If the doctor determines that dilation is medically necessary, it will still be performed to ensure a thorough exam. If you are being seen for a medical reason, such as cataracts, floaters, or glaucoma screening, you will be dilated. All children under the age of 12 will be dilated.

For patients with diabetes or those age 55 and older, we also recommend a retinal OCT wellness screening for just . This additional scan allows for early detection of conditions that may not be visible with standard imaging.
