Dr. Julianne Koch is a highly skilled optometrist with more than ten years of experience in optometry and ophthalmology practices. She was born and raised in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She is a Razorback and completed her undergraduate studies in Biology at University of Arkansas. For her optometry degree she graduated from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis. She moved to Middle Tennessee to practice six years ago. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Tennessee Optometric Association, and was previously Vice President of Middle Tennessee Optometric Physician Society. 

She enjoys performing both routine medical and vision exams. She also likes seeing pediatric patients and she completed one of her clinical rotations at Kansas City Children’s hospital. She is a fellow dry eye sufferer and loves to discuss and treat dry eye as well as patients with eye problems such as red eyes. She routinely diagnoses and monitors eye diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. She is also experienced in specialty contact lens fitting. 

Dr. Julianne Koch is the founder and CEO of Novel Eye Care. She named her new practice after her love of reading books. Her favorite thing to see is a patient reading a book or a kindle while waiting for their eye exam. She loves how shared interest in reading can strike up a great conversation. In her free time, Dr. Koch enjoys reading, writing, yoga, kayaking,hiking, and traveling. But, more importantly, spending time with her husband, two children, and her dog, Gracie.
